ZLG V30+ confirmed by US carrier company's CEO

LG V30+ confirmed by US carrier company's CEO
NEW DELHI: Earlier this week, LG unveiled its V30 and V30+ smartphones on the sidelines of the IFA 2017 conference. However, at the event the South Korean company focused more on LG V30 than its big-screen varaint V30+.

But the company did not reveal the pricing and availability of the phones, except for that in its home country. Now, one of the US carrier company's CEO has confirmed that LG V30+ is indeed coming soon.

The LG V30+ could be coming to the US exclusively with Sprint telecom carrier. The company's CEO Marcelo Claure posted a short video on Twitter yesterday (August 31) clearly mentioning that, "1/2 Yes, it's true, @Sprint will carry the new #LGV30+ from @LGUSAMobile! Amazing display + great speakers = win!"

LG Q6+ to launch in India soon: Report

South Korean tech giant LG is soon going to launch a new variant of the Q6 smartphone, LG Q6+ in India. Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom has tweeted an image of what seems to be a promotional image of the upcoming smartphone.

The video also shows LG V30+ phablet along with the text "Coming soon to Sprint: LG V30+". The device sports the same design as the LG V30. It is worth mentioning that while the LG V30 has 64GB inbuilt storage, the later version comes with 128GB inbuilt storage. Rest remains the same.

For those unaware, both LG V30 and the V30+ run Android 7.1.2 Nougat (upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo). The device ditches the secondary screen on top. However, to compensate for it, LG has introduced a floating bar and Always On Display (AOD) functionality. They provide shortcuts to apps. The floating bar can also be customised with user's favourite apps.

LG V30 and the V30+ sport a 6-inch QHD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) OLED display with 'FullVision' tech. The phablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor along with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM.

On the camera front, the LG V30 appears to be ahead of Samsung's flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and the recently-unveiled Note 8 smartphones. LG V30 comes with 16MP standard +13MP wide-angle primary cameras, which have f/1.6 aperture and f/1.9 aperture respectively. Until now, both Samsung Galaxy S8 and Note 8 had the lowest aperture (f/1.7 aperture). There is a front-facing camera with 5MP wide-angle lens and F/2.2 aperture. Backing the device is a 3300mAh non-removable battery.
